The BoD is updating the following bylaws and the definite text will be published in October 2010, after the General Assembly in Jyvaskyla.
Bylaws – Approved by the General Assembly
(G.A. Milan, October 18, 2008)
• The executive board running Euprera should be operational: able to make decisions and recommendations quickly and efficiently for the proper running of the association.
• This board should set the platform to allow the association to be run according to its objectives and to allow its membership to ‘live the strategy’.
• This board should be supported by project energisers, making suggestions to feed the process by being eye openers between external and internal networks (Knowledge Application).
• Any member can propose a new project to the executive board within the term of the association.
• The project energisers should not interfere with operational and formal details.
• The project energisers should create, innovate and participate in projects and invite new members to join their projects or propose new projects to the executive board (to increase the level of commitment from members and the dynamism of the association).
• The number of project energisers is not fixed and should support the dynamics of Euprera.
• To ensure that the presidency and the other executive members could be recruited as openly as possible and at the same time would be recognised for their potential contribution and commitment to Euprera:
• any member, any project energiser and any executive member can nominate any member of Euprera to become elected as a member of the executive board. The executive board will discuss the nominations, inform the GA about all nominees and make a proposal to GA who finally elect the executive members.
(G.A. Leipzig, September 25, 2004)
• Congress organisation: Vetting procedure.
“The Euprera Scientific Committee –represented by the officer responsible for the Research Committee, called the ‘congress coordinator’- has the responsibility to secure the process and the quality of the congress. The vetting is done by two Euprera Scientific Committee members (excluding the congress coordinator) and two local reviewers (nominated by the congress organiser), so-called the Congress Scientific Committee. The congress organiser has no obligation to take part in the vetting. The papers are addressed to the congress organiser who ensures anonymity before sending them to the congress coordinator. Based on the number of papers, the congress coordinator will decide about the papers’ repartition. All papers will be vetted by a minimum of two reviewers. Points will be marked by the four members of the Congress Scientific Committee, supervised by the congress coordinator and the congress organiser.” |
