ELeCT

Since 1990, Cerp and later Euprera have supported the compilation of a terminological database called Electronic Dictionary of Communication Terminology (EDiCT). Research is carried out at University College Ghent (Belgium) and is based on existing term collections as well as on a wealth of primary and secondary sources.

Early in 2001 a handy multilingual lexicon was derived from this material. It was baptised ELeCT, short for Electronic Lexicon of Communication Terminology and made available on cd-rom. A new and expanded edition (the third) is now available: ELeCT 3.0. Third edition. The new edition does not only incorporate additions, corrections and updates but has also been supplemented with Hungarian equivalents.

Features:

  • over 800 concepts in the fields of Public Relations, Advertising, the Media, the Printing & Allied Trades
  • 7 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Hungarian
  • English definitions
  • MultiLex search engine supplied by VARTEC
