Job vacancy: Associate Professor in Corporate Communication - 14.03.2013

The Department of Communication, Culture and Languages at Norwegian Business School (BI) in Oslo, has a vacant position as Associate Professor of Corporate Communication. The position focuses on the various uses of communication and processes of managing communication that support organizational goals. Emphasis is on corporate communication, organizational communication and Public Relations. The associate professor will teach courses in undergraduate and graduate programs. The candidate will also contribute to communication courses taught in the general business curriculum and supervise Bachelor and Master projects and theses.
Fluency in Norwegian is not a prerequisite for this position. New PhDs with a strong track record and those currently holding the rank of Assistant Professor are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of models associated with organizational learning and be prepared to develop and teach courses in internal and interpersonal communication.

The Department of Communication, Culture and Languages has 29 full-time staff actively researching and teaching in corporate communication, business communication, intercultural leadership and communication, rhetoric, and management of culture organizations. The research group within the corporate communication and business communication fields consists of a core group with responsibility for programs and courses at the Bachelor, Master and Executive levels.
