EUPRERA congress in Pamplona: register now!

The EUPRERA XXII annual congress will take place at Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain, on October 7-9 on the theme The Camino of strategic communication: (re)discovering the human element in public relations in unpredictable times.

Registration for the congress is now open and early-bird registration is possible until August 31.

In person / online: special fees for online participation are available for those limited by travel restrictions.

Members’ special fee: if you are a member and you’ve already paid your 2021 membership fee, you’ll receive your registration code soon after this email.

PROGRAMME

The Scientific Committee is working on the 60 full papers submitted in the 7 thematic tracks. On the first two days, October 7-8, the programme will see two keynote speeches, panel sessions, paper sessions and a range of brand-new activities including the Paper Development Workshop, the EUPRERA Hour+, our 14th annual PhD Seminar.

Keynote speakers will be Johanna Fawkes, speaking about A path through the woods: new directions for public relations, and Ramón Salaverría, on Journalists, users, robots. Understanding the vicious triangle of disinformation.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

On Saturday, October 9, a bus will take you on a half day trip!

Enjoy a visit to one of Navarra’s most fascinating wineries, Bodegas Otazu. The winery is internationally known as the “Wine Cathedral”. The visit will include a guided tour to enjoy Olite’s medieval Palace architecture and whimsical towers as well as a a lunch at Parador de Olite in a fabulous location in the same 15th-century castle.

EUPRERA PhD Seminar: August 9 new application deadline!

Good news for those who have not applied for our 14th PhD Seminar yet: entries will be possible until August 9, 2021!

The EUPRERA PhD seminar will be held in Pamplona on October 5-7, 2021 soon before the EUPRERA annual congress. The seminar is intended for early/mid-stage PhD-students in public relations, organizational communication, and/or strategic communication. It provides an international setting for next generation of scholars.

During three days, participants will get the chance to network and discuss their work in depth and get feedback from experts and peers.

Special discounted fees are foreseen for those who will attend both the seminar and the congress (congress registration will open in July). As there is a a limited number of 10 participants for the PhD seminar and only a few places left, we suggest to apply as soon as possible!

EUPRERA congress in Pamplona: we are ready!

We are pleased to announce that waiting has been worthwhile!

The good news is that, after a year’s delay, we will hold the EUPRERA 2021 congress at Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona (Spain). The campus of Universidad de Navarra is already backed to full presential activities and has given green light to our congress on October 7-9.

Moreover, we have had a record number of submissions, which predict interesting, fresh, and quality sessions and panels.

If the development of the global pandemic and the vaccination plans continue as forecasted, most authors will be able to travel to Pamplona and attend the congress in person. We are sure that you share with us the enthusiasm of actual presential meetings and discussions with EUPRERA colleagues in the charming town, campus and restaurants of Pamplona.

There will be also optimal solutions for those with travel restrictions as consequence of a local lockdown. We will provide a blended congress modality that will allow authors and attendees to participate online if they are unable to travel and attend in person.

EUPRERA activities 2020 and congresses 2021-22-23

We are happy to announce the dates of the next EUPRERA congresses and to remind you of the initiatives for the current year:

2020 ∼

We’re collecting the full papers to publish our annual book (provided we receive enough quality papers) as well as to select papers for the Journal of Communication Management. Additionally, we’re working on more publication opportunities for our members and on online activities for the autumn.

2021 congress ∼

EUPRERA congresses in Zagreb and Pamplona: forthcoming deadlines

The XXI EUPRERA congress will take place on September 26-28 in Zagreb, Croatia. The full programme with approximately 60 papers on the theme Joy is shaping up and will be announced soon. Meanwhile, don’t miss the forthcoming deadline on July 31 to register with the early bird fees, saving up to € 50.
