  1. Summer Institute in InnovativeMethodologies at McGill University, Montréal, July 10-26, 2023 (MethodsNET-endorsed event)

The event comprises 4 courses (3 in-person, 1 online). It provides a unique opportunity for researchers, clinician scientists, and trainees to hone their research methodology skills. Students are mentored by methods researchers through lectures, workshops, and peer-to-peer teaching. Students will develop their abilities to design, conduct, and critically evaluate research.   1. 27th Summer School in Social ScienceMethods, Lugano, August 10-25, 2023 (MethodsNET-endorsed event)

This event   is organised by the Institute of Communication and Public Policy, Università della Svizzera italiana in close cooperation with FORS, the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences. It offers around twenty full-time workshops in two weekly sessions. All workshops are oriented towards practical applications and spend roughly half of the allocated ∼35 hours of tuition on applied work and exercises. The Summer School instructors are renowned specialists and experienced and enthusiastic teachers in their respective fields. All info on the event web site.

  1. 2ndSummer School in Social ResearchMethods (3SRM), Nijmegen, June 12-30, 2023 (MethodsNET flagship event)

Registrations are closed. Close to 400 participants from around the globe will shortly convene to attend 32 confirmed specialized courses, part of a full training package also comprising optional short courses and transversal sessions. Some ‘news from the ground’ will follow via social media. In the meantime: you can indulge with some ‘course teasers’ on YouTube.

  1. 2ndKonstanzMethods Excellence Workshops (Komex), 2024 (MethodsNET-endorsed event)

The 2nd edition of Komex in 2023 was very successful, with 4 ‘ekomex’ online courses and 4 in-person courses gathering a total of 90+ participants. Preparations are already under way for the 2024 edition (February 22 – March 1) which will feature an enriched course offer, both online and in-person, and some courses offered in a more compact format.
