The (online) competition unfolds in two stages: first, nominated students complete an individual assignment and attend expert masterclasses based on a common brief. The top participants are then grouped into international teams, each guided by a mentor, to develop and present a final project before a jury in the closing event.
FuturePR international student competition
The EUPRERA international student competition organised with ICCO
EUPRERA organises the FuturePR International Student Competition in collaboration with ICCO, building on the foundations of previous competitions like PR Arena and the University PR World Cup.
AIM
The competition aims to bring together students from diverse national and cultural backgrounds, encouraging them to collaborate on addressing critical issues related to the role public relations and communication play in a world of misinformation and polarisation.
FOCUS
The competition focuses on issues related to the Media Education and Information Pledge, challenging students to create PR strategies that promote a sustainable, peaceful, and equitable future.
PARTICIPANTS
Public relations and communication students enrolled in Higher Education Institutions:
- that are EUPRERA institutional members or
- where EUPRERA individual members teach or
- where practitioners affiliated with an ICCO member teach.
Students should be at least in their 2nd year of bachelor’s studies. Their study programme should be situated within a broad communication sciences or communication-adjacent fields.
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
– EUPRERA: individual members – up to 5 students, institutional members – up to 10 students. If two members from the same faculty/school nominate students, only the first set of students will enter the competition (or a list agreed on by both academics)
– ICCO: practitioners affiliated with ICCO associations that also teach in HEIs – up to 5 students (if two members from the same faculty/school nominate students, only the first set of students will enter the competition (or a list agreed on by both practitioners)

If you are a student
and you would like to participate, please contact the professors in your university about the selection process. You cannot enroll yourself in the competition, you must be enrolled by an EUPRERA or ICCO member as an official participant.
