PR Arena, 6th edition, 2022, a EUPRERA international student competition, organised by GWPR Romania and the University of Bucharest, in partnership with the European Broadcasting Union
We are proud to announce the launch of the latest EUPRERA educational project: PR Arena, the 1st edition as a EUPRERA international student competition and the 6th edition organised by GWPR Romania and the University of Bucharest!
AIM
Bring together students from different national and cultural backgrounds, to virtually work together on a challenging PR case from a real client.
2022 CLIENT
EBU (the European Broadcasting Union), operator of the Eurovision Song Contest and Euroradio
BRIEF
Create and develop a PR campaign concept related to an issue relevant to the client (to be presented by the client to the students enrolled in the competition)
CALENDAR 2022
17/10 – 6/11 – EUPRERA members* carry out internal selections (*member = institutional member or group of individual members coming from a non-member HEI, collectively acting as 1 institutional member)
6/11 – Deadline to enroll students (max. 5 / institutional member or group of individual members coming from a single HEI) – online form available by deadline (please contact the PR Education Network to receive the student nomination form). Only second-year BA students and up, all cycles, can be enrolled.
7/11 – Organisers communicate to students the programme for the next section of the competition, the masterclasses: days, hours (in the afternoon), Zoom links
8/11 – Presentation of the competition brief by EBU
9-11/11 – Two masterclasses organised by EUPRERA: 1) international issues management, 2) international PR campaigns
12/11 – Deadline for students to submit an individual assignment (to be communicated)
12-16/11 – Evaluation of individual assignments by the PR Education Network jury (in order to select 30 finalists)
17/11 – Team formation (10 teams x 3 members from different countries) and mentor assignment by organisers, Q&A session about the brief
17-21/11 – Students work on brief and check in with mentors
21/11 – Deadline for submission of presentation & support materials (EOD)
23/11 – Final presentation of 10 teams to jury and award ceremony
PRIZES
First prize: tickets to the Jury Show of the Grand Final of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, UK, including a backstage tour and expenses contribution for travel/accommodation of €500 per person
Second and third prizes: 3 x 1-hour mentor sessions with a PR professional on behalf of GWPR + an EBU goodie bag
All student participants will receive educational materials from EUPRERA

and you would like to participate, please contact the professors in your university about the selection process. You cannot enroll yourself in the competition, you must be enrolled by a EUPRERA member as an official participant.
